The Myanmar’s representative team entered the qualifier Group B, and they did two defeats though they fought against Vietnam Malaysia, and they were qualifier defeat.
They ended with a very disappointing result by the soccer, but, on the other hand, they was getting the chance to interchange with the people of other countries and was able to understand the viewpoint that the deaf people in other countries were placed. It became very significant for them.
Thailand, the champion team, and Malaysia, the host country, are located in the class that activity as the representative team or the deaf person community’s activity are very active in the ASEAN nations.
The deaf community doesn’t still exist in Myanmar. And, this time, the team that was participated in Myanmar was only Mary Chapman that we helped with. They were constituted the member of the players who is younger than 18 years old.
All other participation countries consist of the adult male, and we understand it when the physique difference influenced the result.
ary Chapman was a historical deaf school established in 1920. However, there was not it at the opportunity to go abroad during attendance at the school, and this competition participation became the first opportunity since school establishment in past during the history.
It might be exaggerated, but, at this opportunity when they went abroad if they didn’t play soccer, there might not be it throughout their life. It may be said that it’s an extremely important approach to have been able to participate this while it looks like it.
Thanks to many Supports by many people this time, we participated the competition. We thank you heartily.
Next time, the competition may be held in Thailand. We’ll continue to try hard to largely surpass the result of this time.
Thank you for your supports continuously.
